Tiger
Woods and Roger Federer are known to be the GOATs (greatest of all time) of
their respective sports. The two have
had quite a run with their coaches, moving from one to another, with some
having longer stints than others. But
let’s focus a bit of Woods…
From
1996 to 2003, Tiger Woods had his swing coached by Butch Harmon. Under the guidance of Harmon, Woods won 8
majors in 24 starts. All in all, Tiger
bagged 34 titles in 127 official starts from turning professional to 2002,
which gave him a 26.8 percent win percentage.
Their time together was the longest compared to Tiger’s run with other
coaches.

After
being coach-less for a year, Tiger teamed up with Hank Haney in 2004. From their first year to 2010, Tiger won 5
majors in 23 starts and had missed 2 majors (2008 British Open and 2008
PGA). Tiger won 31 titles in 93 starts,
giving him 33.3 percent win percentage. After
parting ways with Haney, Tiger sought swing direction from Sean Foley. From 2010 to 2014, Tiger won zero majors in
13 starts and had missed 4 majors. Tiger
had 8 PGA Tour titles in 55 starts, giving him a 14.5 percent win percentage.
Recently
parting ways, Tiger Woods and Chris Como had a short run from 2013 to
2017. In the 3 years the two worked
together, Tiger had zero wins in 4 starts, missed 8 majors, namely Masters,
U.S. Open, The Open, PGA Championship in 2016-2017; and had won zero titles in
15 starts in the PGA Tour.
