Golf 101: Fix Your Putting Problems

The game of golf is more physical than people think. Many aspects of the game require a great degree of control, and not so much strength. One of the parts that golfers often practice is their putting game. At first glance, putting may look simple, but it really isn’t. A lot of golfers who have been playing the game for some time now still have problems with it. Here are a few tips to help you fix your putting problems.

Belief

This tip is geared more towards the mental aspect of putting. Like free throws in basketball, the calmer you are, the higher the chance of a well-taken shot. However, if your confidence is severely lacking, you’ll find yourself suffering from nerves. Your hands become less steady and your vision blurs. Be confident. You can make the shot. Believe in yourself.

Raised head

Now while belief in yourself can go a long way, you won’t fully get there if you squander on the basics of the movement. Every sport wherein you have to hit or throw a ball with accuracy and control needs an appropriate follow-through, whether it be golf, baseball, basketball, or billiards. Always practice following through on your shots. And this doesn’t just go for putting, but for swinging as well.
