Why College Football Is More Fun Than The Nfl

The NFL may be the most popular sport in the U.S., but for many folks, it’s not even the best source of entertainment even for football. They tune in to college football.

While NFL’s TV ratings continue to dwarf college football’s, some of footballs truest fans prefer college football. Here’s why:

Rivalry games are more intense in college football

The rivalry game is one of the most awaited days in college. Rivalries for pro sport teams have nothing in comparison to those for colleges. Just ask a Bears fan if they recall the two games against the Packers in 2013. I doubt they could remember it vividly. Ask a college football fan about their favorite rivalry game, and they’ll light up giving you details of the games that go back decades ago.

Every game is significant

Probably the biggest reason people prefer college football. Regular games matter a lot more for the team or for any other team. College football fans passionately follow games and either be excited and disappointed by the outcome. With the NFL, it’s really not a big deal unless it’s a playoff game.

You don’t need $350 to watch all college football games

You don’t need to break the bank to follow your college football teams. As long as you’re subscribed to sports channels like ESPN, BTN, CBSNSN, etc., you’re good. That will only take about $5.
